As a result of expansion and transformation, with the goal of becoming the "People's Bank" First National Savings and Loans Co. Ltd is looking for a dynamic, experienced and dedicated individual to fill the above position.
This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of the Branch Operational processes and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and the balancing of all books of accounts, the submission of various reports to Head Office through the Branch Manager.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
- Responsible for authorization of payments and daily entries of the branch, helping with book keeping when needed
- Plans and estimates the cash needs of the branch maintaining appropriate levels in line with Branch requirements and insurance limits
- Delegates duties among Cashiers, assisting new Cashiers in training
- Balances vault daily and makes sure vault is locked each night
- Prepares mutilated money for shipping to Head Office or the Trust Bank
- Issues cash to Tellers when needed and verifies money sold to the vault
- Ensures proper call over of all transactions for each day is properly done
- Serves as back assistants to the Branch Manager
- Handles customer complaints and assist the Branch manager in developing strategies to minimize them
- Assists the Branch Manager in the timely preparation of annual budget, quarterly budget review, forecasts and business plans
- Assists the Branch Manager in the preparation of monthly operational reports for the branch
Required Skills or Experience
- A Bachelor's degree from a reputable university or college
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in banking operations/lending or similar industry
- Knowledge of the microfinance and/or banking industry and related statutory banking compliance regulations, banking laws, etc etc
- Good oral and written communication skills
- A self motivated team player with good interpersonal skills
- Must be pro-active and a results oriented individual
- Must be computer literate with experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and accounting software
