First National plans to open 2 more offices to get closer to the people and serve the needs of the rural communities that have been neglected by the traditional commercial banks.

Job Description

As a result of expansion and transformation, with the goal of becoming the "People's Bank" First National Savings and Loans Co. Ltd is looking for a dynamic, experienced and dedicated individual to fill the above position.

This position is responsible for providing overall leadership and direction of the Human Resource Management function and activities and ensures that these are effectively and efficiently managed. The HRM is also responsible for delivering high quality service to support business plans and priorities.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

  • Ensuring the implementation of staff policies, procedures and practices to ensure compliance with local regulatory employment and labour laws
  • Providing management support for recruitment, induction, confirmation and retention
  • Responsible for staff payroll administration and welfare issues
  • Responsible for employee/industrial relations Management
  • Management of Human Resource Information Systems

Required Skills or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or other related field from a reputable university or college
  • Professional HR qualification
  • Master's degree would be an advantage
  • At least 10 years senior management experience gained from a similar or a related banking/financial institution
  • Advanced knowledge of related statutory and regulatory banking compliance regulations, local employment and labour laws, HR principles, and tax laws
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain high standards of accuracy and confidentiality in the information and advice provided to the CEO, Management and employees
  • Listening, comprehension and understanding skills and sensitivity to the emotional, attitudinal and political aspect of human resources management
  • Self motivated team player with good interpersonal skills
