Job Description

As QHSSE Coordinator, your responsibilities will include the development of a local HSE strategy, conducting reviews and audits to ensure compliance with policies and legislation; development of the annual HSE plan and training of staff. 

You will also be involved in the development, implementation and monitoring of security plans. Your duties also include the compilation of QHSSE Key Performance Indicators, routine project quality activities and maintaining the contents of the Quality Management Systems, among others.

Required Skills or Experience

  • Ideally, you should have a degree in Engineering with 5 years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry and have knowledge of HSE laws, codes and standards.

Job Description

PURPOSE:

  • Forecast, plan, schedule, budget, coordinate, monitor, and review all maintenance activities and processes necessary to deliver optimum equipment availability, and maintain the integrity of company equipment assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Forecasting

  • Forecast long-term material requirements in conjunction with SCM
  • Forecast LOM maintenance requirements based on planning forecasts
  • Prepare and issue long-range schedules, budgets, and forecasts

Planning

  • Plan, estimate, and prepare warehouse materials and major tools
  • Plan, estimate, and obtain procured materials and contracted services according to authorization limits
  • Plan, estimate, and identify the proper labor, services, and skills
  • Identify and prepare job procedures, work flows, and special work needs
  • Plan capacity for support equipment, logistics, manpower, and workshop space
  • Assist with the design, planning, and coordination of shut-downs

Scheduling

  • Prepare and issue work schedules
  • Prepare and issue schedule of proposed equipment downtime
  • Facilitate weekly maintenance scheduling meetings
  • Attend daily meetings for feedback and adjustments
  • Organize staging of materials and tooling in line with the weekly plan

Identification

  • Capture all requests for work in the system (verbal, written, phone, etc.)
  • Maintain integrity of preventive maintenance triggers and job creation
  • Identify, capture, analyze, and act on condition monitoring data (oil, vibration, etc.)
  • Filter, prioritize, and arrange for the approval of work requests from all sources

Data

  • Maintain a full and complete equipment register for work area (TCO)
  • Ensure accurate register and tracking of rotables and components
  • Maintain key standard jobs and APL part listings for all equipment
  • Ensure work history and completion information is captured electronically

Communications

  • Participate in LOM Meetings and quarterly forecasts
  • Act as critical contact for operations, materials, accounting, IT, etc. relating to maintenance
  • Interface with operations and maintenance to schedule plant shut-downs
  • Communicate with Maintenance Supervisors to plan, estimate, and identify the proper labor, services, and skills
  • Communicate with cost center owners for approval of work requests

Financial

  • ƒPrepare and review annual budget
  • ƒPrepare quarterly forecast
  • Manage weekly, monthly, and quarterly spend according to budget
  • Facilitate monitoring, review, approval, and payment of suppliers

Job Description

Scope of Responsibilities
The GM, Mining and Exploration will report directly to the Group CEO. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management, supervision and direction of all exploration activities and mining activities including but not limited to current programs already underway, execution of future programs, budgeting, growth strategies, sourcing and evaluation of potential new business, preparing advanced modeling and establishing QA/QC programs.

You will provide management and direction to the mining and geological teams. Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities associated with this position will include:

  • Guiding all aspects of exploration programs including project generation, early-stage, advanced- stage and mine site exploration.
  • Planning, designing and implementing effective work flows for the day to day operations of all mining sites.
  • Plan and implement drilling programs that are consistent with the Company's objectives and appropriate to the exploration target.
  • Monitoring and reviewing ongoing exploration programs.
  • Responsible for sale of minerals and procurements.
  • Providing technical training to the Company's mining and exploration staff and facilitating professional development activities.
  • Helping define and direct the company's exploration strategy in the country, and identifying and evaluating new projects for potential acquisition.
  • Dealing with stakeholders in the exploration and mining business e.g. Minerals Commission, Geological Survey Dept., Environmental Protection Agency etc.
  • Defining and implementing performance standards, exploration procedures, and QA/QC systems aimed at ensuring that exploration programs are conducted to corporate standards and exceed requirements.

Required Skills or Experience

  • The successful candidate will bring more than 10 years of mining and mineral exploration experience in precious metals and a track-record of success to the company.
  • Candidates for this role must have an advanced degree in mining engineering and/or geology.
