Responsibilities:
- You will teach students academic, social, and motor skills through the delivery of instruction, curriculum and assessment.
- Assigns lessons and corrects homework.
- Plan course objectives, outlines and lesson notes for course of study that align with the curriculum frameworks or requirements.
- Teaches rules of conduct and expected behaviours, - maintaining management of the classroom and management of activity outside the classroom.
- Counsel's students when adjustment and academic problems arise and refers students to other services as needed.
- Discusses student academic and behavioral attitudes and achievements with parents.
- Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences.
- Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs.
- Assists in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement.
- Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process.
- Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis.
- Collaborates with peers to enhance the instructional environment.
- Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
Required Skills or Experience
Qualification and Requirements:
- Have a B.Ed or a BA in Education.
- Three (3) years working experience from a reputable educational institution
- Applicants should be proficient in the use of ICT.
