Perseus Mining has engineering employment and careers in Ghana to recruit for Technical Advisor/Trainer-Processing. We are a duet listed (Australia, Toronto) gold miner and explorer focused on the West African region. Perseus Mining (Ghana) Limited (PMGL) has recently commissioned the world-class Edikan gold project in the Western Region of Ghana. Edikan Gold Mine (EGM) has a current mining reserve of 3.3M oz of gold from a resource base of 4.3M oz. The Edikan processing facility has been designed as a 5.5Mtpa processing facility with the ability to expand this to 8Mtpa in the future. The plant is capable of producing at a rate of 220-270,000oz gold.

Responsibilities:
The successful person will report to the Process Superintendent and will perform the following responsibilities:
- Lead site initiatives to improve the understanding of processing operations safety
- Take responsibility with senior operations staff for ensuring that installations are maintained across the Edikan Gold Mine
- Lead efforts to ensure that effective controls are in place for isolation and safe systems of work
- Monitor the plant performance to achieve set operating targets
- Develop training and development matrics for all shift Supervisor positions
- Develop training and development plans for all Process Operators
- Develop Short Term (daily/weekly) operating plans with supervisors
- Co-ordinate the handover of relevant shift change information
- Provide input from an operations perspective into process plant improvement modifications

Required Skills or Experience
- Minimum of BSc. Met. Engineering or its equivalent and a formal Training & Development and Assessment qualification
- Minimum of 10 years plant operating experience at operating mine sites
- Production experience in Gold Processing
- Supervisory experience in culturally sensitive environments
- Production experience in gyratory crushers, large SAG mills, Flotation and Gold recovery circuits
- Minimum of 5 years Supervisory experience
