Job Description

ICF International is seeking local and international applications for several short-term and long-term technical positions for an USAID food security program in Ghana. We are especially interested in individuals with previous experience working in Ghana's northern sector. Positions require at least 10 years of progressively responsible work in managing and implementing of food security programs, including experience relative to agriculture, livelihoods, nutrition, and monitoring and evaluation. Positions include program management, technical implementation, project administration and operational responsibilities. Hiring for these positions is contingent upon funding from USAID

Required Skills or Experience

Basic Qualification:

·         Bachelor's degree

·         10+ years of progressively responsible work in managing and implementing of food security programs, including experience relative to  agriculture, nutrition, monitoring & evaluation, behavior change communications

 

Preferred Skills/Experience:

·         Prior work in Ghana, especially the northern sector.

·         Demonstrated familiarity with food security in real-world settings

·         Experience with USAID programs and international donor programs on food security, agriculture, and nutrition.

·         Practical experience working with a range of program partners, including government agencies (USG and host), regulatory bodies, the private sector, NGOs, civil society, etc.

·         Relevant work experience, including experience with a contractor or international NGO managing an office or program

Professional Skills:

·         Excellent verbal, interpersonal and written communication skills;

·         Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude;

·         Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel);

·         Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities and to work limited overtime as necessary.
