The job holder will work under the supervision of the Head of Finance to ensure an efficient financial management of the Division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure accurate accounting records and controls including processing of vouchers
- Write cheques and passing of requisite entries
- Process inputs into the accounting software using the Accpac Programme
- Prepare reconciliation statements to all ECs accounts and
- Follow up on any outstanding issues relating to the reconciliation
- Assist in the preparation of annual budgets
- Assist in the collation and analysis of both revenue and expenditure returns and financial reports
- Provide feedback to Head of Finance for reporting to ensure cash controls
- Prepare daily and weekly cash forecasts to enable Management take appropriate decisions
- Make appropriate suggestions to the efficiency and effectiveness of job holder's work
Required Skills or Experience
- HND in Accounting/ICAG Part II with at least 1 year post qualification experience
Competencies:
- Knowledge of public service administration and financial regulations
- High computer proficiency
- Good knowledge of the role of other regulators in the energy sector
- Ability to work with little or no supervision
- Team player and good interpersonal relations
- Have an ability to work long hours
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Good communication skills
